MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Electrical Department
is to:
-
Provide
undergraduate and professional education through programs
that prepare students for the workplace, stress the
development of the total person, and begin a process of
lifelong learning.

Provide
graduate education and training in the skills of advanced
research.

Contribute
to the base of technical knowledge by conducting research
and scholarship and by disseminating the results of those
programs.

Support
the engineering professions by service in the appropriate
professional organizations.

Serve the
needs of the state and region by appropriate outreach
programs and by support for industrial development.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the academic program are to
imbue in the graduate:
-
a broad
education that establishes competencies in the arts,
humanities, foreign languages, sciences, and mathematics and
that fosters an appreciation of the role of the engineer in
society and the world-awareness that is so necessary to the
practice of engineering in a global economy
-
Engineering
skills that are both broad in the basics and deep within a
selected specialization
-
Professional
skills that include the abilities to communicate effectively,
to work productively as a team member, and to engage in
career-long professional development.
Department consists of three science branch which is "Electrical
Machines", "Energy Plants", and "Illumunation and Installation".
Both first and second education is presented in the department.
Preparotory program for compulsory foreign language is applied
to students of the first education. Department carries out
M.Sc and B.Sc postgraduate program, being Electrical
Department in the Instute of Science and Technology.
