About our faculty The Faculty of Technical Education consists of

Departments for education. The faculty has over 220 full-time
academic staff, who instruct about 6300 undergraduate students in over
thirteen different Bachelor of Science degree programs. The
faculty offers six graduate programs in twelve areas, leading to
the Masters and/or Doctoral degrees, and which have
attracted over 650 graduate students.
Mission The faculty is seeking to achieve academic excellence by providing outstanding
instruction in technology, and also is fostering scientific research of the highest quality. In
order to meet its mission the faculty is committed to meeting the needs of students, and is truly
dedicated to provide a superior education to the prepared students.
The faculty is offering a current curriculum that incorporates
the fundamental principles as well as the latest
discoveries in the major scientific disciplines. This
mission will be accomplished through applied research
and delivery of academic programs by efforts of our dedicated academic staff.
To accomplish its mission, The Faculty of Technical Education offers
thirteen undergraduate academic programs in engineering technologies.
The programs are designed to prepare technical teachers for employment in vocational high schools, in industry, and
government. All academic programs in the faculty include a significant
hands-on laboratory components and designed to prepare students for
practical work rather than for jobs that require more theoretical and scientific
knowledge. The future of an education in the Technical Education Faculty is the practical application of
technical knowledge, a hands-on education that prepares students to address and solve technical problems.
Brief History
The origin of the The Faculty of Technical Education can be traced
back to 1937 when Gazi Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK felt that
the country needed a technical college to meet technical
teacher demands for vocational schools. The college
had a comprehensive three-year program of technical teacher education.
In 1976 Technical Teachers College started to four-year programs.
In 1982 the college renamed as The Faculty of Technical Education
which offers Bachelor of Science degree. Instructional programs are offered in
engineering technologies and education.

The Faculty of Technical Education has modern classrooms, computing laboratories
and workshop facilities for studies. There are also sport facilities offer attractive choices for
students such as soccer fields, swmming pools, fitness centre, tennis courts

Students Theatre Group plays different performances every year.
Turkish Classical Music Group gives several concerts during education period.
One of the most important activities in our faculty is the
